Praia de São Sebastião is the beach that is located on the north side of the Capela de São Sebastião. Here you find multiple peaks, but the one referred to as São Sebastião is breaking in between the south end of the beach and the exposed rock formation in the water.
Close to the rock there is a nice righthander, while on the south end of the beach is a lefthander. The left is called Esquerda dos Surfistas or Esquerda Moita and is a heavy, local wave. You are therefore better off surfing the right. This wave is also accessible for beginning intermediates and sometimes you’ll find a surf school here. It’s a mellow wave breaking over a rock bottom.
