Just north of the surf spot Pico da Mota is another beach break in front of Praia d’el Rey. This stretch of beach is also called Belgas and here you find multiple peaks with both lefts and rights. It’s usually not so crowded and suitable for all levels of surfers. There are different beach entrances, one right in front of the Praia d’el Rey Marriott Resort and one at the parking at the north side of the golf course.
The white sandy beach with clear water and the rocky cliffs make a beautiful scenery. Praia d’el Rey can work with any tide depending on the wave size and sand banks, but below mid tide is your safest bet. The best conditions are south/southeast wind and swell from west/northwest.
