Praia de Valmitão is a 1.5 km long beach that is located in between the more famous surf spots Santa Cruz and Areia Branca. The south end of the beach is also known as Praia das Conchas. It’s a typical beach break with multiple peaks breaking both left and right. The waves break mostly over sand, but there are some rocky parts here.
Although surfed by some locals, it’s less known and therefore less crowded (both in and outside the water) than the other spots in the surroundings. There is a parking with a little bar right at the beach entrance.
