Praia da Calada is a beautiful bay located 10 km north of Ericeira, after Praia de São Lourenço. Although not the best surf spot in the area, it can offer nice and uncrowded waves with lower tide. There is an a-frame with lefts and rights breaking over a reef on the north side of the bay. After a steep take-off, the right is normally quite mellow while the left has more wall. With the right conditions you can also find a left on the south side of the bay.

The best conditions are winds from the east and swell from the west. There is a big parking and a nice bar/restaurant down at the beach. Watch out for the shore break with higher tide!
