The beach north of Baleal is called Praia do Baleal Norte. Here you have two surf spots: Prainha and Lagide. Prainha is a beach break on the south end of the beach while Lagide is a reef break located a bit more to the north (right in front of the Surf Castle). Lagide is an a-frame breaking over a reef with both lefts and rights.

The left from the a-frame is usually longer and better than the right. Although quite fat and mellow with high tide, Lagide can be amazing with bigger waves and around mid tide. Low tide is often too shallow. There is also another righthander 300 meters to the north.
