In front of the parking with the white chapel of São Sebastião, just north of town and on the north side of Algodio beach, you find an a-frame with two quality waves. The right is called Moita, the left Esquerda Moita. Moita is more forgiving and also accessible for good intermediates. Be careful with lower tide as it gets very shallow.

Since it’s a wave with heavy localism, you might be better off watching the surf action from the shore. Without respect and surf etiquette you don’t have a chance!
