In front of the parking just north of town, on the north side of Algodio beach and close to the chapel of São Sebastião, you will find an a-frame with two quality waves. The right is called Moita, the left Esquerda Moita. Esquerda Moita is a fast lefthand barrel with shallow take off. It’s only accessible for good surfers willing to pay the price when it goes wrong.

Since it’s a wave with heavy localism and bodyboarders, you might be better off watching the surf action from the shore. Without respect and surf etiquette you don’t have a chance!
